The Opening Hour and Information May Change According to The Latest Situation on COVID-19.

Open hours: 9:00 – 21:00 (excluding Thursday *)
* Open on Thursday during summer vacation: August 6, 13, and 20.


List of current situations on facilities in Kyoto is as follows;

Due to avoidance of spreading COVID-19, following areas in Miyako Ecology Center will be closed.


  • Hands-on Ecology Corner


  • Children’s room (wooden toy area)
  • DVD viewing area


For All Visitors;

Please refrain from

  • Visiting the facility when you have fever, are not feeling well, or been to an area/county where has been increasing numbers of COVID-19 patients.
  • Talking loud in the facility.

Please keep

  • Distance of 2 m (approximately 6.5 ft) from each other,
  • Your mask on,
  • Covering your mouth when you sneeze or cough,
  • Remembering to wash your hands frequently.
    * There are also hand sanitizers on each floor.

  • Theatre room: 20


  • 1st meeting room: 12
  • 2nd meeting room: 9
  • Workshop room: 13
  • Cooking room: 13



It will be open per usual; however, it will be one-way traffic in the area and no food and drink allowed in the Communication Corner next to the library.


Collecting Recycling Items *;

It will be open per usual.
* Used cooking oil, milk carton, recyclable Isshou-bins, fluorescent lamps, batteries.
