Let’s find your favorite book at Eco-cen! 〜お気に入りの本を見つけよう！〜

Miyako Ecology Center (Eco-cen) has finally reopened from the 1^st of June (w/ Shorten Opening Hours)!

For those who don’t know much about Eco-cen, we have a library corner at 3^rd floor.
It has various books talking about “Environment” for everyone from children to adults.

Today I would like to introduce few books.

1) “ECHOES of LIFE – Sungai Pulai and Beyond -“

This Book is all about Nature in Pulai river, Malaysia.
Any differences between Japanese and Malaysian estuary nature?
When you cannot freely travel to overseas, why not to enjoy the view from pictures!?

2) “자원 – 한방울-“

This Book is Environmental Educational textbook for kids in Korean!
Yes, we have few books in Korean, too!!
Unfortunately, I personally can not read in Korean without a dictionary but it is very colorful and the style is very unique as in you can draw and put stickers while you are studying about environment.
You can see how to draw attention of children 😉

コロナ禍の中で皆さんいかがお過ごしでしょうか。
さて、京エコロジーセンター（エコセン）は、時間を短縮しつつも６月１日（火）から開館しています。

エコセンには、３階に図書コーナーがあるのをご存知ですか？
普通の図書館とは違い、全て「環境に関する」資料で子供から大人まで楽しめます。

今日は、そんな中からいくつかご紹介いたします。

1) “ECHOES of LIFE – Sungai Pulai and Beyond -“

プライ川（マレーシア）河口周辺の自然についての本です。
日本の自然との違いは見つけられたでしょうか？
海外へ行けない昨今ですが、写真を通して想いを馳せてみませんか？

2) “자원 – 한방울-“

こちらは、環境についての韓国語の教科書です。
なんとエコセンでは、少しではありますが韓国語の資料も配架しています！
韓国語を読むことは大変難しいですが、とてもカラフルで絵が描けたり、シールがついていたりととてもユニークな資料になっています。
どのように子どもたちの関心を引いてるのかがわかりますね！
